     How Amazon prime works? Issues faced by theaters? And profits of producers?

          Now a days we are facing a critical pandamic situation and we need to followup social distance to keep our self safe so our society is updating to new trends based on technology to entertain people at their own position.

 

Amazon prime:

         Amazon prime was started in September 7,2006 and first it was named as Amazon unbox then it renamed in 2008 .it is run by Amazon a American based online shopping company, it works based on movies, series and channel programs etc,they bought them from their producers and streamed on their OTT platform and they earn by subscribe ,prime payment,and watching duration of viewers.

  

Issues of theatres;

      On 22/06/2020 actor Suriya announced that his movie "Soorarai Pottru" is going to stream in Amazon prime from 30th of October and he already released "Ponmagal vanthaal"on OTT and became the first ever producer to make this brave decision in Tamil cinema history and this announcement gave a great impact on theatre owners.

        Oru Tamil Nadu government didn't approve the opening of theaters in Tamil nadu because of the corona .but the theatre owners are facing a huge struggle due to this because of no movie,no income but land tax ,maintainance allowens ext. They harshly declared that till this method of release of movies in OTT there will be no theatres in Tamil Nadu.

Profits of producers.

     

            Most of the producers are supporting Suriya's decision that untill the ending of this pandamic issues and the producers get low profit from this method .

          Amazon prime paid 60 crores to Soorarai Pottru movie and they also fully locked the degital right for 20 crore but then it skipped and

it right was bought by Vijay tv

And with sale of Hindi dubbed this film reached 99 crore .

Man with big heart!

          Suriya produced this film and the Sikhaya Entertainment and he told that the income receiver from this stream of 5crore will be donated for the people those suffering from corona and also that he refused to receive salary for his acting from Co production team.

       Even though there is low profit for this decision he released this movie for his fans and to entertain people in quarantin and he also announced than he definitely release next movie on theaters and also said that he definitely do hard work for that.

NOTE:

     Kaatu payale song form this movie got 28 th position in India's top 100 songs, and it the first Tamil song reaches that top position.
